Important Notice for all Patients
The phone lines are very busy so please be advised of the following:
If you have an existing appointment for a Covid-19 vaccination please attend the appointment as scheduled.
Please do not call us to ask when you are going to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Patients will be notified as the vaccination programme is rolled out.
We do not take prescription requests over the phone.
If your call is not urgent, please call after 10.30am in the morning and after 2.30pm in the afternoon. All routine telephone consultations with a GP are bookable online.
If you suspect you have Covid-19 please stay at home and visit 111 online to book a test. If you need help managing the symptoms of Covid-19 please book a telephone consultation with a GP, do not come to the surgery.
Our Receptionists may ask you why you need an appointment. This is to ensure they book you an appointment with the most suitable healthcare professional.
We ask that you only visit our sites in person if you have been asked to do so. Please do not arrive early, wear a face covering and attend alone where possible.
We are aware that some people are receiving suspicious calls and text messages offering the COVID-19 vaccination
Coronavirus vaccines are only available on the NHS. You can be contacted by the NHS, your employer, or a GP surgery local to you, to receive your vaccine. Remember, the vaccine is free of charge. At no point will you be asked to pay.
- The NHS will never ask you for your bank account or card details.
- The NHS will never ask you for your PIN or banking password.
- The NHS will never arrive unannounced at your home to administer the vaccine.
- The NHS will never ask you to prove your identity by sending copies of personal documents such as your passport, driving licence, bills or pay slips.
If you receive a call you believe to be fraudulent, hang up. If you believe you have been the victim of fraud or identity theft you should report this directly to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. Where the victim is vulnerable, and particularly if you are worried that someone has or might come to your house, report it to the Police online or by calling 101.

Grosvenor has consultation rooms and treatment rooms on the ground floor. A disabled toilet is also available.
St James also has a ground floor consulting room accessible to those with disabilities.
Grosvenor has emergency parking for patients reserved for those with mobility issues or the very frail. Please inform reception if you think you will need one of these spaces at the time of booking. Doctors may need to leave on emergency visits at any time so please do not park at the front of the practice or block any cars in. Meadow Road multi-storey car park is the nearest available parking and is only a 5 minute walk away.
St James has limited parking spaces for patients and time restricted on street parking in Carlton Road.
