You can now book appointments or order your repeat prescriptions online.
You will need to contact reception first to sign up to use this service.
All consultations, both with the doctors and nurses, are by appointment only. Routine appointments are 10 minutes long and can be booked either by phone or online via the above link.
If you wish to sign up for these online facilities ask the receptionist for details of how to register and receive your registration details. Please see the Patient Online Access page for more details of other systems we use including myGP App.
We normally encourage patients to book routine appointments with their registered GP as this allows for good continuity of care. We do however recognise that at times there may be reasons why an appointment to see another GP may be required.
Urgent appointments are shorter than routine appointments and may be with any GP in the practice. We would request that these appointments are used for problems that cannot wait until the next routine appointment and are limited to one problem.
- Morning surgeries run between 08:10 – 10:00 for routine appointments and then urgent appointments from 11:00 – 11:30.
- Afternoon appointments run between 16:00 – 18:00
We also offer an evening surgery on Tuesday evenings and early Wednesday mornings for those patients whose working schedule make it difficult to see a GP during the day.
Our telephone lines are open Monday to Friday from 08:30 – 12:30 and 14:00 – 18:00.
The period between 08:30 and 10:30 is usually very busy and we would request that you only phone during these times to book an appointment or in an emergency. To request test results or if you have queries about your medical treatment, please telephone after these times.
If you would like to speak to one of the doctors or nursing staff by phone please ring reception. A message will be passed on and the doctor or nurse will phone you back.
There are occasions when patients need to be examined by a doctor which may involve intimate examinations.
This practice is committed to putting patients at ease whenever possible, and if you wish for a chaperone to be present during your examination please to not hesitate to ask the doctor for a chaperone.
It may not be possible for such a chaperone to be provided immediately and you may need to return for the examination to be carried out at a mutually convenient time.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
